Important Information!

  • You require a 4x4 for travel in Southern Mozambique
  • Ponta Mamoli under no circumstances allow the following :
  • Quad bikes
  • Jet ski’s
  • Spear fishing
  • Driving on the beach
  • Launching of private boats

Accommodation :
All chalets are sea facing with private veranda, have overhead fans and mosquito nets with en suite shower, toilet and basin. The chalets have a personal safe, coffee/tea making facilities and are fully furnished. Rooms are serviced on a daily basis.

  • 12 Standard Chalets
    sleeping 2 people each, either 2 x 3⁄4 beds or a king size bed
  • 3 Family Chalets
    sleeping 2 adults + 2 children, either 2 x 3⁄4 beds or a king size bed with a bunk for the children

  • There is a safe and secure fenced in parking area for vehicles just before the border

  • Payment & Cancellation Policy :
  • A quote is issued upon client enquiry
  • A booking is only done on receipt of the 25% non refundable deposit
  • Final payment is required 21 days prior to arrival
  • The resort does accept payment in Rands or by Master/Visa card
  • The 25% deposit is non refundable
  • Bookings cancelled up to 14 days prior to arrival - 50% cancellation fee will be levied on the TOTAL VALUE of the invoice
  • Bookings cancelled up to 7 days prior to arrival - 100% cancellation fee will be levied on the TOTAL VALUE of the invoice
  • No refund will be given to a guest leaving prior to booked date or for a no show
  • Ponta Mamoli reserves the right to change and/or to add to these conditions without prior notice
  • Ponta Mamoli reserves the right to change the price list without prior notice


Child policy :

  • Children are welcome.
  • Children 2 years and under stay free of charge.
  • Children aged 3 to 11 pay 50% of the full adult rate.
  • Please take note that Ponta Mamoli offers no baby or child facilities or equipment
  • Baby sitting can be arranged but it will be for the clients own account

Travel Insurance :
Guests are responsible for their own travel insurance. We do have first aid on site and an emergency evacuation procedure in place.

Rules and regulations :

  • All extras are to be settled in cash or by credit card in full before departure from Ponta Mamoli
  • We offer no camping and no camping facilities
  • We offer no self catering accommodation
  • Private drinks are not allowed at the dining, pub or swimming area
  • Private wine for dinner is allowed at a corkage fee payable to the bar
  • Guests participate in all activities at their own risk and Ponta Mamoli cannot be held responsible or liable for any damages or losses incurred


Remember to bring :

  • Your necessary dive certification, you will not be allowed to dive without proof of qualification
  • Your own beach towel
  • A torch
  • Insect repellent such i.e. Tabard, Peaceful sleep
  • All your own preferred medication


Border Procedure :

  • South Africans travelling on a valid South African passport does not require a visa for entry into Mozambique
  • All other visitors require a valid passport (valid for at least 6 months from date of entry) and visa for entry into Mozambique
  • A visa can be obtained from your nearest Consulate or can be purchases at a fee at the Ponta d’Ouro border post
  • All visitors require R12.00 per passport for clearance at the Mozambique Border Control
  • When travelling into Mozambique with a private vehicle, remember the original registration paper for clearance
  • It is law that all vehicles entering into Mozambique obtain 3rd Party Insurance
  • The insurance can be purchased from the Mozambique Custom Clearance at a fee of R132.00
